Ain Azizah Binte Yazid's Reflection

Throughout this assignment, I was exposed to the many problems that the Early Childhood industry was facing. Before this, I thought that everything was improving at a fast pace. However, upon embarking on this project however, I was more aware of what was going on exactly in the field. I also got to know the perspectives of people who are actually in the field, and what they think about the problems that are present. I have learnt that the problem that I think is big, important and needs improvements does not necessarily coincide with what another center think is a huge issue. For example, as my group did on bilingualism, we thought it was something that could easily be addressed and worked on. However, this was not the case. There were more underlying problems and needs that had to be worked on before we can even think about achieving bilingualism.

Throughout this project too, I have grown and matured as a person. The group of people that I had the opportunity to work with had many differing points of view and it really gave me the opportunity to look at things in another perspective and make better choices and decisions as a whole during this project. Communication with my group mates was something that I realized was very important. Without proper communication, we could not have gotten things done in a smooth and efficient way. This project has also helped me to better communicate with my groupmates from other groups.

Overall, the process of this project was something that I enjoyed thoroughly. At the start, I did not know what I was going to get out of this project. However, as we started our discussions and brainstormed why and what topic we should do, it made more sense, and everything slowly fell into place. I also found out that I was able to critically think better than I could before, and it made me more interested in wanting to do well for this project.

Overall, although this module and project was long and tiring, I am thankful that I managed to learn not just one but several things. It has also helped me to grow as an individual and learn more about myself that I did not know about before.
